3 Tools I Use to Create Social Media Graphics & Shareable Content

Creating content and graphics to share on social media doesn’t have to be difficult and time consuming!

If you want to stand out on social media, you need to be sharing visual, eye-catching content that complement your branding. But when you’re not a designer, it can be tricky to consistently create good quality graphics and posts to share.

But you don’t have to be a graphic designer or pay loads for fancy design software to create beautiful, attention-grabbing graphics, you just have to know about some of these awesome content creation tools…

1. Canva

If you haven’t heard about Canva by now, where have you been?!

It’s the easiest, best tool around for creating quick graphics for literally any purpose. From Instagram Stories and Pinterest pins, to Email header graphics, website banners and PDF templates, Canva has you covered. You can start from scratch and use their drag and drop builder to create something totally unique, or customise one of their many pre-designed templates to fit your branding needs.

Canva has a free version that has pretty much every feature you could ever need, but if you’re creating templates for clients or need more complex features like animations and video creation, the Pro version is very affordable and 100% worth it.

2. Headliner

If you’ve ever wondered how I create the audio graphics I use to share my podcast episodes, I use a tool called Headliner* to create what’s called an ‘Audiogram’. An audiogram is basically an animated waveform that’s used to represent an audio clip in a fun, visual way.

I love how these look, and they’re really versatile. You can upload them as Instagram grid posts, Stories, to Facebook or even as a video pin on Pinterest!

3. Unfold

If you’re looking for a super simple way of spicing up your Instagram Stories, Unfold is my favourite app for this! They have loads of easy-to-use templates and collage layouts to choose from and customise with your own fonts, colours and content, and it just gives you a few more design options than the native Instagram Stories creator.
