Logo & Blog Design for Pompous Peasant

An exciting new project in the portfolio this week!
 

I've been working with Roman, who after years in the hospitality industry, has decided to set up his own luxury food and wine blog, dedicated to all things decadent and delicious, and the people who make it so!

The moodboard above is based on Roman's love for minimal, modern design and rich colours. The dark greys and rich wine reds were brought in throughout his logo and blog design.

The story behind the name 'Pompous Peasant' is a joke Roman had been friends at school, where they found themselves surrounded by rather too much pretentiousness in the hospitality industry! We therefore tried to inject both a sophisticated and humorous side into the logo design above.

We followed the minimal, classy theme through to the WordPress blog design, and I'm thrilled with how it looks! Roman is now busy writing up content for the launch of his new blog, but you can see more on the project portfolio page.
