Squarespace is a website building platform and hosting company. You may have also heard of other platforms (WordPress, Wix, Showit, Framer etc), but my preference for designing sites is Squarespace, mainly for how user-friendly it is, but also for SEO and accessibility reasons.

I only work with Squarespace and have been for over 11 years now, so I know it like the back of my hand! My clients absolutely love how easy it is to use.

As with any website host, you have to pay a monthly or annual hosting fee.
You can find Squarespace's pricing on their website, but most of my clients require either the Business Plan, or the Basic Commerce Plan. If you work with me, you can get 20% off your first year too!
(Note: This cost, along with the cost of your domain, is separate to my website design fee.)

Once we have set a date to get started on your project, and have been through our contract, you will receive an invoice for your 50% deposit. Then, when the project is complete you will receive an invoice for the remaining 50%. This will all be written out in our contract.

There is no VAT to pay on my website design services.

At the end of every project, I supply my clients with a Squarespace guide, resources and video tutorials to empower them to manage and make edits to the website themselves.
Squarespace itself also has award-winning 24/7 technical support and an extensive ‘Knowledge Base’ resource of information. However, for quick questions I am always an email away!
If you need further edits after our project or any website updates, I can do piece-work at my hourly rate.

I know you’re busy, so I keep my process simple, and my 11 years’ experience & knowledge means I can support, guide and take the reins as much as you need.
I’ll never overwhelm you with tech jargon, huge to do lists, or decision fatigue - I’m here to make your life as easy as possible, while designing something you love.

At the moment I require between 4 - 8 weeks notice to book a project, but don't be afraid to get in touch anyway in case I have a space sooner!
Usually it can be useful for you to have this time to gather the things you need to get started on the project too.

Yes! In fact, around half of my clients are US-based (I'm in the UK), and I have worked with people in New Zealand and United Arab Emirates before too.
For payment for non-EU clients, rather than send you an invoice for a bank transfer, I will set up a payment link for you to be able to pay by credit/debit card.
The amount you pay will be in GBP £. and your bank will automatically convert this into your own currency using its own exchange rate. You can get a rough idea of currency exchange rates using this converter!

My process is specifically designed to be easy and stress free for you; I will talk you through each stage clearly and let you know exactly how to prepare. At the end, I will be providing you with a guide and video tutorials showing you exactly how to make any edits you need.
The beauty of Squarespace is that it is a totally ‘managed’ platform (unlike WordPress). This means that all updates, maintenance, security and tech stuff is taken care for you so you don’t even need to think about it.

Once we have scheduled our project, I will guide you through exactly what I need from you and how to prepare, and we work together closely on your marketing and website strategy too.
Working with a copywriter, brand designer and/or photographer? You can provide them access to your Client Portal, or upload their files yourself.
If you’re not working with a copywriter and are DIY-ing the text for your website, you’ll receive my ‘Content Planning Guide’ with tips for how to write this!
