Jewelbox Cornwall's Brand New Look and Design Service

I've been working with Carrie for a couple of years on her Jewelbox Cornwall business, and I wanted to share an update on her business!

From helping her with the copy for her jewellery descriptions, to completely redesigning her website, it's been great fun working closely with Carrie from Jewelbox Cornwall over the past two years. I've seen her business and her ideas grow and develop so much; it's been so exciting!

Where it All began...

When I first met Carrie, she'd been selling jewellery for a while on Etsy and on her self-made website. Her little business was starting to take off but she knew that her website was holding her back from really WANTING to promote herself to people.

She wanted something she could really be proud of showing people; something more modern and professional, and that she'd be able to edit herself.

The first website update

Enter The Jewelbox Website 2.0! Using Squarespace, the website had a slick, clean new look and Carrie was finding it way easier to update things and add new products on the go thanks to Squarespace's fully integrated e-commerce system. I posted about the website launch back in 2016!

Creating a new brand

However, once the new website was done, I think Carrie felt her logo had been left behind a little bit! It wasn't quite doing the new site design the justice it deserved. Also, she'd been doing a lot of work and research about her target customers and brand vision, so felt it was time for an upgrade!

Using inspiration from her moodboard and her extensive branding homework, we came up with a beautifully elegant logo and brand that would appeal to her target clients and suit a range of purposes; from beautiful business cards to gold foil packaging!

Updating the website

Obviously to reflect the new brand we needed to do some website updates - it didn't take much to get everything looking consistent though, and finally Carrie could be proud of this incredibly important touchpoint of her business.

Focus groups & research

In 2017, Carrie did something incredibly brave that I could never imagine doing myself - she held a focus group!

After a few months of research and developing a bunch of ideas for her Jewelboxes, Carrie organised a focus group of women to come in and basically review her products and ideas. I was honoured to be a part, and it was an amazing set up; Carrie had prepared everything beautifully, from the experience of receiving a Jewelbox, to the customisations and aftercare.

The feedback Carrie received was completely invaluable, and she handled the praise, new ideas and constructive criticism all with grace and strength. It was great to see how much positivity came from this exercise, and I know it helped her to really hone in on where to take her business next...

The New Jewelbox service

With a newfound excitement for her business and a stronger focus in 2018, Carrie has now launched her new Jewelbox Design Service and has rejigged some of her other products and pricing too. The new service is replacing the previously more complicated set up of individual pre-designed Jewelbox products and is making the whole experience way more personalised and bespoke!

I'm so proud of Carrie and how much she's achieved over the last few years, and I can't wait to see where Jewelbox Cornwall takes her next!
