ABOUT Kyrelle
Kyrelle is an experienced wedding hair specialist, working with brides across the South West UK.
Her old website was fairly simple, showed a lot of her older portfolio work, and wasn’t very easy for her to update. Kyrelle also has a really fun personality, and felt her website wasn’t getting this across to her clients!
PROJECT GOALS
Kyrelle wanted a website that would reflect her more modern glam, ‘LA cool’ style (rather than showing her older work which felt more bohemian).
The new website needed to also feel bold and show her personality while feeling professional and luxurious.
It was also important that the new website be optimised for search engines, and be simple for Kyrelle to update her portfolio easily

How I applied my signature ‘3S’ Approach’
STRATEGY
A lot of keyword research went into this project to ensure each page was optimised for her location - as a lot of Kyrelle’s brides find her through Google.
Kyrelle also creates a lot of great content on social media, so it was important we included reference to this on her portfolio page too.
STYLE
A big part of Kyrelle’s hair specialism is with Hollywood waves and glam looks, which is why we used a vintage inspired colour palette.
She’s also known for her cool, fun and laid-back personality so we added some dynamic, moving features and interesting shapes throughout.
SIMPLICITY
Kyrelle’s new website has some fun, interesting layouts and ‘moving’ parts but in my designs I always balance this with simplicity to ensure the pages don’t feel too busy or overwhelming, and they’re still readable & scannable (this is important from an accessibility perspective as well!)
