How It Works

Why Squarespace is a Great Choice

I use Squarespace to create all my websites because of its clean design and simple user interface, meaning it's easy for my clients to manage and make edits to themselves. I've written an article about the differences between Squarespace and WordPress specifically, but below are some important reasons why I believe it to be the best website platform for small businesses...

+ Peace of mind

Squarespace a is fully managed platform. This means there’s never any need to update software, plugins, or widgets, patch security vulnerabilities; or worry that changing one component might break something else.

+ Simple user interface

The back-end of Squarespace's platform is extremely intuitive and simple to use, even for complete technophobes! This means it's super easy to make edits yourself without having to get a developer/designer involved to help with small tweaks.

+ Responsive Design

Squarespace templates are beautifully designed and include unique mobile experiences that matches the overall style of your website, so content will look great on every device, every time.

+ Built-in SEO

Search engine optimisation (ie. how your website ranks on Google) depends on many factors, but with Squarespace you don't need to worry about the technical stuff as it's built-in for you! Read more about their SEO features.

+ Award-winning 24/7 support

Squarespace has a fantastic library of step-by-step guides and video tutorials for if you get stuck, but their 24/7 free live chat and email support are second-to-none. I've had nothing but great experiences with them throughout over 20 website builds.

+ Simple pricing Structure

Squarespace's pricing is transparent and simple; you can pay monthly or yearly (from £10 per month up to £30 per month for large online stores) which includes absolutely everything you need - no extra costs!

Anna was the ultimate professional from the moment she received my first email. She is extremely personable and fun to work with and completely understood me and what I wanted my brand to achieve.

My website design process

We can arrange a time to chat via Skype (or in person if you're local!) to discuss your needs & requirements before scheduling a date to work on your project. I'll then send you a contract and questionnaire to fill in with details about your business, any current website, and preferences.

2) CHOOSING & Customising A TEMPLATE

I'll show you a few options for templates and layouts for your website that will suit the needs of your business. Once you have chosen your preferred option, I'll get started on setting up your pages and customising the template to match your branding.

3) Feedback & TWEAKING

Once I've completed the first round of design, I'll let you in to view and give me feedback on the website so far. We can go through a couple of revisions like this until you're happy with how everything looks and we've tested the site together.

Once the website is ready to launch, I will give you a tour of the back-end and some tutorials on how to manage this yourself in the future. At this point I will also connect your domain and transfer the ownership of the website to you, ready for you to hit publish as soon as you like!
